Coronavirus In Ohio: 1,095 New Cases, 35 Deaths

While new cases sit below their three-week average, hospitalizations and deaths related to COVID-19 are again on the rise.

COLUMBUS, OH — For the third straight day, Ohio officials confirmed fewer new COVID-19 cases than the state has averaged over the past three weeks.

Over the last 21 days, Ohio has averaged more than 1,200 new COVID-19 cases per day. In the past 24 hours, officials confirmed 1,095 new cases in the Buckeye State.

However, other key metrics related to the virus are on the rise in Ohio.

Thirty-five Ohioans have died from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, up versus the three-week average of 23 deaths per day. Hospitalizations were also up Tuesday, with 131 Ohioans entered hospitals for care for COVID-19.
