Coronavirus In Ohio: 1,143 New Cases, 31 Deaths
For the first time in four days, health officials confirmed more than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases in Ohio in 24 hours.
COLUMBUS, OH — Health officials confirmed more than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases in Ohio in the past 24 hours, the state health department announced.
Over the past three days, Ohio has confirmed less than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases. On Tuesday, the health department confirmed 1,143 new cases. Since the start of the pandemic, more than 95,000 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Ohio.
Thirty-one Ohioans died due to COVID-19 complications in the past 24 hours. That's up versus the state's three-week average of 24 deaths per day.

Hospitalizations and intensive care admissions were also up versus their three-week daily average. Health officials confirmed that 127 Ohioans entered hospitals for COVID-19 treatment in the past 24 hours, and 23 Ohioans were admitted to intensive care units because of the virus.
