Coronavirus In Ohio: 1,157 New Cases, 11 Deaths

COLUMBUS, OH — Health officials confirmed more than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases among Ohioans on Wednesday.

Since the start of the pandemic, Ohio has confirmed more than 125,000 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic. Over the past three weeks, Ohio has averaged 1,025 new coronavirus cases per day.

With Labor Day on the horizon, Gov. Mike DeWine has warned Ohioans that parties and gatherings could cause a further spike in new COVID-19 cases and deaths. He urged Ohioans to follow social distancing guidelines during the holiday weekend.

In the past 24 hours, 11 Ohioans have died from complications caused by COVID-19. Ohio has averaged 21 COVID-19-related deaths per day over the past three weeks.

Hospitalizations related to the virus were up versus their average, according to the Ohio Department of Health. Intensive care admissions held steady. Here are all of Tuesday's COVID-19 numbers:
