Coronavirus In Ohio: 1,199 New Cases, 26 Deaths
An upswing in hospitalizations caused by COVID-19 continued Wednesday, the state health department announced.

COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio again confirmed more than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, the state health department announced Wednesday.
Officials confirmed 1,199 new COVID-19 over the past 24 hours. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been more than 96,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ohio.
In the past 24 hours, 26 Ohioans died from complications caused by COVID-19. Nearly 3,600 Ohioans have died due to complications caused by the virus since the beginning of the outbreak.

Hospitalizations continued an upswing on Wednesday, with 112 Ohioans entering hospitals for COVID-19 treatment. Sixteen Ohioans were also admitted to intensive care units due to COVID-19 complications.
