Coronavirus In Ohio: 1,200 New Cases, 34 Deaths
A day after Gov. Mike DeWine tested negative for COVID-19, officials confirmed more than 1,200 new cases among Ohioans.

COLUMBUS, OH — A day after Gov. Mike DeWine tested negative for the new coronavirus, more than 1,200 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Ohio, the state health department announced.
In the past 24 hours, officials have confirmed 1,204 new cases of COVID-19. Since the start of the pandemic in the Buckeye State, nearly 99,000 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed among Ohioans.
"We're seeing a stabilization in our new cases, but we'd like to see it go down more," Gov. Mike DeWine said Friday.

Thirty-four Ohioans died from COVID-19 complications on Friday, the Ohio Department of Health reported. However, less than 100 Ohioans entered hospitals for COVID-19 treatment, a drop from previous days.
Here are all of Friday's COVID-19 numbers for Ohio:
- New cases: 1,204
- New deaths: 34
- New hospitalizations: 81
- New ICU admissions: 14
