Monday Is The Last Day To Register To Vote In Ohio

COLUMBUS, OH — Monday is the final day to register to vote for the Nov. 3 election in Ohio.

Voter registration can be completed online, through the Ohio Secretary of State website. Ohioans just need their driver's license or Ohio ID number, the last four digits of their Social Security number and other biographical information.

Anyone who registers to vote after Monday will not be able to vote in the Nov. 3 general election.

November's general election promises to be unlike any other election in Ohio's history. Early voting will begin Tuesday and more than 2 million Ohioans have already requested an absentee ballot, according to Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose.

"We are making it easier than ever for registered Ohio voters to make their voice heard,” LaRose said. “Every voter choosing to cast their ballot from the comfort of their own home makes for an even smoother voting experience for those choosing to vote in-person on election day. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

While more Ohioans are planning to vote via absentee ballot, most Ohio counties are struggling to field poll workers for Nov. 3. Many counties are still in need of poll workers. To see if a county needs poll workers, visit the Secretary of State's poll worker tracker.
