Stow Man Who Reported Mom's Stabbing Death Turns Self In Next Day

Jason Reeves dialed 911 Saturday to report he found his mother, Susan Reeves, dead in her bed, authorities said.

STOW, OH — A Stow man was charged with aggravated murder after he reported his mother's stabbing death, was questioned and then released, and then surrendered the following day. A judge Monday set bond at $1 million for Jason Reeves, who didn't enter a plea during his initial video court appearance.

Reeves dialed 911 Saturday to report he found his mother, Susan Reeves, dead in her bed from a stabbing, authorities said.

The distraught 22-year-old son was interviewed and freed, investigators said, but returned to the police station Sunday and surrendered.

Police haven't commented publicly on a possible motive.

Court records list no attorney for him but indicate one will be appointed.
