3. Greater Akron September weather was warmer, wetter than normal, NWS reports (kentucky.com) — If September felt a bit muggy around Akron, you were right: the National Weather Service reports the month was slightly warmer and wetter than normal, with highs reaching 92 degrees early on. Rainfall at Akron-Canton Airport topped typical levels by more than an inch, while overnight lows ran several degrees above average.
4. Stow plans first DORA near AMP. When will the entertainment venue open? (centredaily.com) — Summit County's entertainment options could expand as nearby Stow considers creating a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area around its new AMP venue, joining Akron and other local cities with DORAs. A public hearing and possible council vote are set for Oct. 22, with business owners largely optimistic and police planning extra presence to manage safety and traffic.
