Kasey Krok, working as the Education Coordinator at the University of Akron Field Station, will discuss how educators are introducing students to the world of birding as a way to create connection with our natural world, teach STEAM concepts in new ways, and build a sense of community that goes beyond the classroom.
Kasey is a naturalist, environmental educator, and all-around nature nerd. When she isn't birding, herping, or hiking the trails with her partner Caide, she enjoys time at home gardening, reading, and knitting with their cat Basil.
Program is free and open to the public. No registration required. Field Station parking is located at end of the drive.
