• Tuesday hearing about a gas-fired power plant in Licking County is among 6 proposed or under construction (thereportingproject.org) — Ashville residents are closely watching state decisions on the proposed 800‑megawatt Ashville Energy Center, one of several gas-fired plants planned to power data centers across central Ohio. The project near the village has already drawn large protests and a prior hearing, with an Ohio Power Siting Board ruling expected soon as similar facilities advance in Licking and Fairfield counties.
