2 Cars Damaged During Bizarre Avon Lake Incident

A stranger whipped a car into a resident's driveway, hitting the resident's two parked cars in the process. Things got weirder from there.

AVON LAKE, OH — In a bizarre incident from two weeks ago, an Avon Lake woman's two cars were damaged when someone whipped their own vehicle into the woman's driveway. When the resident confronted one of the passengers, the passenger said they "lived" at the house.

Burglary, Sept. 28 — A resident is reporting that someone they know may have entered their residence. Nothing was taken from their home, but the person left a cigar and tablet in the house.

Animal Complaint, Sept. 29 — Police were called to the area of 31825 Bayview Dr. for reports of a loose dog that had attacked another canine. Officers searched the area but could not find the loose dog. Neighbors said they had never seen an animal matching that description in the area before.

Juvenile Complaint, Sept. 30 — Officers were called to a resident's house fore reports of an unruly juvenile. A teenage girl had gotten angry with her mother and then broke her bedroom window. The girl ran out of the home before cops arrived. The girl returned home after police left and will face an unruly juvenile charge.

Property Damage, Oct. 1 — Someone hit an Avon Lake resident's two cars Oct. 1. The unidentified car tried to park in the resident's driveway and attempted to squeeze between the two cars already parked there. The suspect's car hit both vehicles. The resident spoke to the passenger in the car, who said she lived at the residence. She then got back into the car, which sped off.

Telecommunications Harassment, Oct. 1 — A woman's ex-boyfriend reached out to her on Facebook, breaking a temporary protection order she had against him.

Criminal Damaging, Oct. 2 — The front glass door and a front glass window were broken at Thogus Products, 33490 Pin Oak Pkwy., were broken by a BB gun.
