Police said at least one of the attacked animals had to be taken to an animal clinic, where it was kept overnight for observation.

AVON LAKE, OH — There have been two dog-on-dog attacks in Avon Lake already this month, according to police records. One of the attacked animals had to be taken to the Avon Lake Animal Clinic, where it was kept overnight for observation.
On October 6, a little before 9 p.m., police were called to Beck Road for reports of a dog attack. Officers discovered that an injured dog had already been taken to the Avon Lake Animal Clinic and would be kept overnight by veterinarians.
The owner of the attacking dog spoke with officers and gave a written statement. It is not clear yet if anyone will be cited in this case.

A day earlier, on October 5, a border collie ran into a neighbor's yard and attacked a yellow Labrador. The border collie was eventually wrangled by its owner and brought back to its yard, and the lab did not appear to suffer any visible injuries.
Still, the owner of the border collie was cited for animal-at-large. They will make a court appearance in Avon Lake Municipal Court later this month.
