2 Juveniles Busted For Theft At 3:30 A.M. In Avon Lake

AVON LAKE, OH — An officer on patrol saw two juveniles running across Electric Boulevard, near Brookfield, at about 3:30 a.m. Suspicious, the officer stopped the runners.

Police said the juveniles had broken curfew and had committed a theft offense. Police did not say what the theft was.

Here are other notable police incidents from the last weeks of June.

Assault, June 17 — A Kent man reported that he was attacked at the Quarry bar on early Sunday morning. Police took the man's statement and are investigating what happened.

Theft, June 17 — Prescription medication was reportedly stolen from the home of a Rosewood Drive resident. The victim said there was no sign of someone breaking into her home, so she thinks a visitor could have stolen the meds. Police said there are no suspects at this time.

Fraud, June 18 — Someone made an unauthorized withdrawal from a local business' bank account. The withdrawal was made in Hillsboro, Ohio and the bank in that city said it may be able to identify a suspect for police.

Criminal Damaging, June 20 — Two neighbors got into an argument after a mailbox was damaged. One neighbor said the other hit his mailbox, prompting the dispute. Photographs were taken of the damage by police and officers said the mailbox could be fixed for $20.
