2 Police Officers Hired In Avon
The officers will be officially sworn in on April 17 in Council Chambers.
AVON, OH - The City of Avon will be officially swearing in two police officers on April 17. Vincent Carson and Ray Saladonis Jr. will be sworn in at Avon Council Chambers, 36080 Chester Road.
The city says the pair will be sworn in at 7 p.m. on that Monday. The bringing in of two more officers continues a winning streak for the Avon Police Department.
The department recently collaborated with the Avon Lake Police Department to host two Clear the Cabinet events, inviting residents to drop-off any prescription medications lingering in their households. The event brought in about 95 pounds of unused prescriptions, the department said on Facebook.

The Avon Department also held a Food Drive last week, donating all of their collections to the Community Resources Services of Avon and Avon Lake. The department also raised more than $500 for the center.
