3 Dead In 3 Days In Avon Lake

Police investigated three deaths in three days in Avon Lake. At least one of the deaths was by natural causes.

AVON LAKE, OH — Police investigated three deaths in the three days leading up to Thanksgiving 2017. At least one of the deaths was by natural causes and another was by suicide. The third death is being investigated.

Suicide Investigation, Nov. 19 — A 47-year-old Avon Lake man was found dead at a residence on Lear Road.

Traffic Complaint, Nov. 21 — Police stopped a car on Walker Road for a traffic violation. The driver had a suspended license and was arrested. A passenger in the car was wanted by Elyria Police and was also arrested and handed over to officers from that department.

Death Investigation, Nov. 22 — An Avon Lake woman called police and said her 24-year-old son was unconscious and unresponsive. The woman attempted CPR, but could not resuscitate her son. Avon Lake Paramedics then called the Lorain County Coroner to the scene.

Death Investigation, Nov. 22 — A 74-year-old man was found dead inside his Avon Lake apartment. Police believe he died of natural causes.

OVI, Nov. 25 — Police were called to Electric Boulevard after a car accident. Callers reported that a pick-up truck had struck a parked car. Officers arrived and arrested the driver of the truck for operating a vehicle impaired.
