3 Guys Sleeping it Off with the Truck Still Running: Police

AVON LAKE, OH — Three men were discovered sleeping in a truck on Jaycox Road after police responded to a call that a truck had been running with its lights on for an extended period of time. Alcohol may have been involved.
Overdose, Dec. 08 — Avon Lake Fire and Police personnel were dispatched to an Aqua Marine Boulevard residence for a 27 year old female who reportedly overdose from heroin. The female was alert as safety personnel arrived on scene. The female was then transported to the Avon Cleveland Clinic Hospital for medical attention.
Patient Abuse, Dec. 8 — An agent of Our Lady of the Wayside appeared at the Avon Lake Police Department to advise of a possible patient abuse. The incident will be further investigated by a county agency.

Physical Control of a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Dec. 9 — Officers were dispatched to the area of 250 Jaycox Road to check on a truck that was running with its headlights on for a long period of time. Upon arrival, Officers observed three males sleeping in a truck, which was located facing south in the northbound lane of Jaycox Road, at the intersection of Stoney Brook Drive. As a result of the stop, one male was arrested for Physical Control of a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. He is to appear in the Avon Lake Municipal Court on Tuesday, December 13, 2016.
Attempted Abduction — A mother reported that a male had pulled his silver vehicle into the parking lot of Fratello's Restaurant and asked her daughter if she needed a ride. The mother, who arrived to pick up her daughter, spoke with the male. The male stated he offered a ride to the girl because of the cold weather. The vehicle then left westbound on Electric Blvd.

Outstanding Warrant, Dec. 13 — R/O was flagged down by a male at Speedway, requesting a ride home to his address on Drummond Ave. A check through LEADS showed he had a warrant for Contempt of Court through Sheffield Village PD. The warrant was confirmed with Sheffield Village PD. R/O transported the male to Lake Rd at Harris to transfer the male to Sheffield Village PD.
OMVI, Dec. 17 — R/O observed a male hunched over the steering wheel of a vehicle in the parking lot at Avon Lake Food Mart, located at 137 Lear Road. As a result, the 58 year old male driver was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and open container. He is to appear in the Avon Lake Municipal Court on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 0830 hours. His driver's license was seized and his vehicle was towed from the scene by Patton's Towing.
