3rd Baby Eagle Born In Northeast Ohio [Video]
There's a lot of tiny, hungry mouths to feed for a pair of adult bald eagles in Avon Lake.
AVON LAKE, OH — Three baby bald eagles have hatched in a nest in Northeast Ohio. All three eaglets came out of their shells over the weekend, with the third baby entering the world at about 6:30 p.m. on Sunday evening.
The baby bald eagles are in a nest near an Avon Lake elementary school, which monitors the nest via video camera. The school then streams what's happening in the nest live (that video can be seen above).
The live stream let fans watch as two of the three eggs hatched on Friday, one in the morning and one in the evening. The nest is near Redwood Elementary in Avon Lake. Approximately half a dozen or so baby eagles have been hatched in the nest over the past three years. Adult bald eagles, named Stars & Stripes by the students at Redwood, have parented each set of eggs.

Eagles usually lay eggs in groupings of about two to three. The eggs are laid two to three days apart. That means more eggs could be coming this week.
Eggs take between 36 and 38 days to hatch. That means there could be baby eagles during the first week of April.

There is a live stream of the nest near Redwood that is available at all times, so the eaglets can be seen coming out of their shells and learning to fly.
Two eggs have hatched healthy baby eagles each of the past two years. Stars and Stripes are pretty consistent on when they like to lay new eggs. In both 2017 and 2016, eggs were laid during the last week of February.
