$4,000 Stolen In Burglary At Avon Lake Home
Police believe someone cut through a window screen to snatch a box full of cash.
AVON LAKE, OH — More than $4,000 was stolen during a burglary at an Avon Lake home during the last week of Decemeber. The suspect cut through a window screen and snatched the money.
The burglary happened late on Dec. 28. A black, cardboard box with $4,200 was sitting in a first floor bedroom, home to a 17-year-old resident.
Police believe the burglar cut through the first floor window, reached inside the bedroom, and grabbed the box. Nothing else was taken or moved in the bedroom, according to the police report.

The teenager told police he believes one of his friends, or acquaintances, may have taken the money.
