61-Year-Old Woman Killed In Car Crash In Elyria
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the woman drove off road, flipped her car and hit a tree.
ELRYIA, OH β A 61-year-old woman was killed in a car crash on Sunday morning. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the woman was thrown from her car after she drove off the road and hit a tree.
According to the Patrol, the crash happened at 9 a.m. on Sunday on West Ridge Road. The woman was driving north, went off the road, drove into a ditch and culvert, overturned, and hit a tree. The woman was ejected from the car.
The 61-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigators believe the woman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The Patrol has identified the 61-year-old as Laurie Briggs, Fox 8 reported.
