6th Annual Avon Health & Safety Fair Returns In June

AVON, OH — Avon will host its 6th annual Health and Safety Fair on June 8 at Avon High School.

The event begins at 10 a.m. During the four-hour event, there will be activities for children and adults. The Avon Police Department will make child identification badges, the Fire Department will bring hook and ladder fire trucks.

There will also be helicopters, the bomb squad and SWAT team from the Lorain County Sheriff's Office, a petting zoo, and musical performances. The Avon Electric Orchestra and the Avon High School Jazz Band will do rotating performances every hour on an outdoor stage.

There will also be vendors from the community and surrounding area, many providing food samples to the attendees.

"We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Health and Safety Fair," the city said in a press release.

The event will run until 2 p.m.
