Howdy all woodworkers. Its been a while since our last blog. Not to worry though, the board has been working like carpenter ants (pun intended) LOL, to move the process of opening a woodshop business along.
Well, I’m sure that everyone has marked their calendars for the upcoming general (working) meeting on 6/22/2013 @ 9:30am at the shop. The shop is located at 33501-A Lake Rd. Avon Lake, Oh.
At this meeting the BOD will provide a 15 minute or so update on its’ progress with various activities such as; mactching fund raising campaign, financial report, City of Avon Lake request for “Conditional Use” zoning, equipment inventory, floor plan lay out, our new modified organizational Purpose Statement and much more.
Speaking of fund raising campaign, our last blog asked for volunteers to participate in / join the fund raising committee. We had two volunteers. TBH, we need more people to step up to help out with this very important committee. So, if your schedule permits, please consider joining this committee. please contact us at admin@nccwoodshop.org .
The rest of the meeting, until when ever, will be the working part. Volunteers will continue to break down the skate track and salvage the wood. Other volunteers will be asked to help clean the social area, (counter, kitchen, conference room etc). So, bring some good work gloves, a sledge hammer and nail puller if you have one. Don’t forget a bucket, cleaning rags and of course, some soap.
