9 Teens Busted For Underage Drinking On July 4th In Avon Lake
Police said the driver was also charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

AVON LAKE, OH — Blinding cars with high beams got nine teenagers into trouble with police on Independence Day. In fact, the group's holiday was ruined when police busted them for drinking while underage.
Police said they saw a white Ford Focus on Lake Road with its high beams on at about 11:30 p.m. on July 4. Officers decided to stop the vehicle and talk to the driver.
It turns out there were nine teenagers crammed inside the four-door sedan, according to police reports. Officers found evidence that the group was drinking alcohol, despite no one being over 21. The group were all written up.

The driver of the Focus was also charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia, though police did not say if they found actual weed in the car. The driver was also hit with a probationary license restriction, according to records of the incident.
All of the teenagers were charged and then released to their parents on the scene, police said.
