Alcohol Found In Teen's Prom Car: Avon Lake Police
Two students attending prom at Fontaine Bleau Event Center allegedly had alcohol in their vehicle. The teens didn't get to stay at the dance

AVON LAKE, OH — Alcohol was found in a teenager's vehicle during the Sheffield Village prom at Fontaine Bleau event center. The student that drove the car, and his passenger, were taken out of the dance and driven home.
An off-duty Sheffield Village police officer was working at the dance when he found alcohol inside a green Jeep, according to police records. The owner of the vehicle and a person he drove to the dance were both inside the Fontaine Bleau, 635 Miller Road, Avon Lake, attending the prom.
Both students were pulled out of the dance and admitted to both owning the alcohol found in the Jeep and drinking the alcohol. The passenger in the Jeep was turned over to her mother who drove her home.

The owner of the Jeep was driven home by the Sheffield Village High School principal, according to police records. Officers told the driver's mother about the incident.
The alcohol was taken by police as evidence, the police report on the incident says.
