Local businesses look for boost from fans coming in for game

Avon officials, hotels, restaurant owners and the front office are gearing up for an exciting week as over 3,000 baseball fans are expected to come out for Wednesday night’s
is eager to greet players and cheer alongside fans who will be traveling from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Missouri to watch the game.
“Of course we’re happy about the influx of people and what that will mean for the businesses in Avon, but what we really want to do is show our community off,” he said. “You never know when people want to build a factory or a business and say to themselves, ‘Hey, this is the place to do it.’
