• Avon suffers most lopsided loss in years in 48-18 defeat to Pine-Richland (cleveland.com) — Avon football fans saw a rare setback Friday as the Eagles fell 48-18 to Pine-Richland at Avon's Westland Heating & Plumbing Stadium, their most lopsided regular-season loss in years. Despite five costly turnovers, coach Mike Elder stressed this young Avon squad will improve each week, with the defending Division II state champions still highly ranked statewide.
