Avon Lake Women's Club Launches New Community Organization Dedicated to Connecting Women and Strengthening Avon Lake

Inaugural "Immersive Avon Lake Experience" on September 17, 2026 will introduce women to local businesses, community resources, wellness professionals and the Club's vision for the future

AVON LAKE, OHIO — August 24, 2026 — A new organization created to connect women, cultivate leadership and make a lasting impact in the community is officially launching in Avon Lake.

The Avon Lake Women's Club (ALWC) was founded with a simple belief: women of every age and stage of life deserve a place to connect, contribute, grow and belong.

Guided by the mission "Connecting Women. Building Leaders. Strengthening Community. Empowering Generations.," the Avon Lake Women's Club is building a modern approach to the traditional women's club, combining meaningful social connection with community service, education, professional and personal development, wellness initiatives, mentorship and support for local businesses and organizations.

"All women are invited to join us," said Cyndi Konold, Founder and President of the Avon Lake Women's Club. "Whether someone is raising a family, building a career or business, entering retirement, new to the community, navigating a life transition or simply looking for a way to become more connected, we want her to know there is a place for her here."

Membership is open to women both within and outside Avon Lake, with a tiered membership structure designed for residents and non-residents. Our membership year begins in September.

The organization plans to offer year-round programming encompassing community, education and mentorship, wellness, service and social connection. Future initiatives will include professional and entrepreneurial networking, financial wellness education, health and wellness programming, community service opportunities, intergenerational mentorship, social groups and partnerships with organizations serving Avon Lake and surrounding communities.

Immersive Avon Lake Experience to Serve as Official Launch

The Club will officially introduce itself to the community during The Immersive Avon Lake Experience, taking place:

Rather than a traditional vendor fair, the Immersive Avon Lake Experience has been designed to allow women to experience what Avon Lake businesses, professionals and community resources have to offer.

Throughout the evening, participating businesses and organizations will provide interactive demonstrations, mini services, consultations, wellness experiences, samples, activities, giveaways, and other hands-on opportunities.

The concept also reflects one of the Club's broader goals, encouraging residents to rediscover the businesses and resources located right in their own community.

"Avon Lake is only about five miles wide, yet it's easy to get accustomed to driving to the large shopping centers and plazas in surrounding communities," Konold said. "Sometimes we forget just how much is available right here at our fingertips. We want women to take another look at Avon Lake, drive along the coastline, explore our plazas and neighborhoods, and discover the incredible businesses, professionals and resources that are already part of our community."

Experiences planned for the evening include health and wellness screenings, Pilates, reflexology, beauty and self-care experiences, home organization demonstrations, travel and lifestyle activities, holistic health and wellness, spa and beauty businesses, and opportunities to meet local professionals and entrepreneurs, and more.

Women will also have an opportunity to learn about the Avon Lake Women's Club's upcoming programming, community initiatives, member-exclusive benefits and long-term plans for supporting the community.

Several participating businesses have donated products, services, and experiences that will be awarded through drawings throughout the evening, including a grand prize drawing. No purchase or Avon Lake Women's Club membership is required to participate, although guests must register, check in at the event, and complete qualifying immersive experiences to be eligible.

More Than a Social Club

While connection and friendship are central to the organization, ALWC's vision extends beyond social programming.

The Club is developing a multi-year plan designed to create meaningful, sustainable community impact through partnerships, volunteerism, education, mentorship and charitable initiatives.

"We don't want to simply host events," Konold said. "We want to build something that remains valuable to this community for generations. That means bringing women together socially, but also creating opportunities for women to lead, mentor one another, support local organizations, strengthen local businesses, and use their collective talents to solve real needs in the community."

The Immersive Avon Lake Experience is open to all women, and attendees do not need to be Avon Lake residents or current members of the Club. Women from Avon Lake and surrounding communities are encouraged to attend, learn more and consider becoming part of the organization.
