Peter 'Taki' Diamantis is at it again.
The founder/owner of Athena's Restaurant in Avon Lake is opening on Friday, Sept. 28. His latest venture, Taki's Greek Kitchen @ 377 Lear Road in Avon Lake is located at the former Tucky's location.
The restaurant will provide authentic Greek food indoors as well as outdoors on a beautifully decorated patio. All food will be prepared fresh daily and he brings a collective team of foodies from the northern Ohio area.

His passion for food began when his father opened up the Silver Quill years ago and he pursued his culinary training at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Upon graduation he worked a number of years at the Maisonette in Cincinnati, spent 13 years as Executive Chef of Johnny's Bar on Fulton Road and left to open his own restaurant in Avon Lake (Athena's Restaurant) 14 years ago.
A week after 9/11 he opened the highly regarded MBISTRO in Westlake which was successful through it's sale seven years later. Always itching to open a Greek Restaurant, the right location came up and he is now realizing his dream of offering authentic greek cuisine to the market.
