
Andrew P. Jaroscak, 88 of Avon Lake passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Jaroscak was born July 3, 1923 in Lakewood. He was the son of the late Jakob and Mary Jaroscak (nee Klima).
He served in the Navy during World War II as a gunner on the U.S.S. Iowa from the time it left the Brooklyn Naval Yard until the end of the war in Japan.

He was employed as a welder and later as a supervisor with Danco Metal Products before retiring. He was a former member of the Clifton American Legion Post.
Mr. Jaroscak enjoyed carpentry having built his own home and also the family vacation home at Buckhorn Lake where he and his family enjoyed getting away for many years. He also was an avid gardener.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly A. (nee Horwedel); three children, Mark (Arlene) of Avon Lake; Bryan (Deborah) of Sheffield Village; and Diana Curtis (Edward) of Bay Village; three grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer and Sean and three great-grandchildren, Katie, James and Quinn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother John.
