For the second week in a row, Padua ended the season of an basketball team.
Last week, Avon's girls team lost to Padua in a sectional game at Elyria. This week, it was the boys' turn as Padua handed Avon a tough 71-67 loss at Westlake on Saturday.
The Eagles seemed to have the upper hand during most of the first half of this back-and-forth sectional game, but Avon's defense couldn't contain the Bruin's slashing offense in the second half. Padua, the twelfth seed, took it's first lead of the game in the fourth quarter and held on the beat the second seeded Eagles.

Avon ended the season with a 14-7 record.
