Avon High Football Powers Past North Ridgeville

Eagles remain unbeaten, lights delay game.

The lights went out on North Ridgeville during Friday night's football game against Avon, both literally and figuratively.

The beat North Ridgeville, 35-7, in front of a large crowd at .Β  During the second quarter, the stadium field suddenly went black, as the lights in the stadium went out. The game was delayed 20 minutes before the lights went back on.Β 

Unfortunately for the Rangers, it did not effect Avon's momentum.Β  Despite being down, 7-0, early, the Eagles scored 35 unanswered points to hand North Ridgeville (3-1) its first loss.

Avon will celebrate Homecoming this Friday at Avon Stadium as the Eagles host Elyria Catholic.Β  Game time is 7:00 p.m.
