Avon Kindergarten Information Night Set for Feb. 9

AVON, OH - The Avon Local Schools are hosting a Kindergarten Information Night Feb. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Avon Early Learning Center, 3075 Stoney Ridge Road.

At the event, kindergarten screening, which includes the various types of tests that will be administered before a child enters school, as well as more general topics including the registration process and student immunizations, will be discussed.

Since this is an informational meeting for parents/guardians, the district requests that only adults attend the meeting. Please note, registration for kindergarten is currently not open and will not take place during the Information Night. Registration will take place a few weeks after the informational meeting.

Any child who becomes five-years-old on or before Aug. 1 is eligible for admission to kindergarten at the beginning of school in August.
