Avon Lake Adds New Police Officer
Tony Descenzo begins policing Avon Lake on March 6. He was formerly an officer in Brunswick Hills and Notre Dame College.
AVON LAKE, OH - During a Feb. 27 Avon Lake City Council Meeting, Tony Descenzo was officially sworn in as the newest member of the Avon Lake Police Department. He will don the uniform for the first time in the city on Monday.
Descenzo is a resident of Brecksville and is a 2010 graduate of Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School. He has an associate degree from Cuyahoga Community College.
Descenzo learned the trade as a graduate of the police academy at Polaris Career Center. He is currently a certified peace officer in the State of Ohio.

Before coming to Avon Lake, Descenzo was a police officer with the Brunswick Hills Police Department and has worked as an officer at Notre Dame College.
