Avon Lake High School Chorale to Perform Handel's "Messiah"
The 96-member Chorale will deliver the performance Nov. 1.

AVON LAKE, OH - Composed in 1741, Handel's "Messiah" is one of the few songs in the history of music that inspires instant recognition. The classic chorale song was first performed in April 1742 in Dublin, Ireland. It got premiered in London, England in 1743 to much acclaim.
Now the song makes its way to Avon Lake.
The Avon Lake High School Chorale will be singing selections from Handel’s “Messiah” at its fall concert on November 1. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Avon Lake High School Performing Arts Center. Admission is $5 per person (senior citizens are free).
