Avon Lake High School Incident Sees Car Keyed, Threats Made

AVON LAKE, OH - Police dealt with an incident at the high school on Jan. 25. A student's car was keyed and threats were made. Read more about the incident below.

Juvenile Incident, Jan. 25 - Reports came in that a car had been keyed at Avon Lake High School. There were also reports that a juvenile was being threatened by other juveniles. Several students accused other students of taking part in the incident, but there was very little evidence of any crime, police say.

Telecommunications Harassment, Jan. 26 - A man reported that his ex-girlfriend was harassing him and his new girlfriend. Police told the ex-girlfriend to cease all communication with the couple.

Telecommunications Harassment, Jan. 26 - Police told a man to stop harassing his ex-wife via phone.

Liquor Offense, Jan. 27 - Police stopped a 2006 Chevy Impala on Country Club Drive for two driving violations. When they spoke to the driver, they saw a bottle of liquor on the rear floorboard. The driver was cited for underage possession of alcohol and for speeding (he was driving 53 mph in a 35 mph zone).

Breaking and Entering, Jan. 28 - Someone broke into a Moore Road resident's home overnight. The suspect broke in through the home's backdoor and stole a miter saw.

Disorderly Conduct, Jan. 31 - A resident reported that his friend sent him a confusing and disturbing text message. Police spoke to the juvenile that sent the text and say that charges may be filed at a later date against the juvenile.

Traffic Complaint, Feb. 3 - Police cited a truck for exceeding load limit.
