Avon Lake Library Named Best In Region
Northeast Ohio Parent magazine named Avon Lake Library the best in the area.

AVON LAKE, OH — The Avon Lake Public Library System was voted the best in the region by readers of Northeast Ohio Magazine. The distinction comes as part of the magazine's second annual Parent Choice Awards, which dole out winners in categories ranging from best town to raise a family in to best music class. Among the categories readers were asked to vote on was "best library" a distinction Avon Lake snagged.
The other libraries that were in contention for the title of best in the region were Heights Libraries (Cleveland Heights, University Heights), Solon Public Library, Twinsburg Public Library, Lakewood Public Library, Fairview Park Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library system, and Rocky River Public Library.
The magazine noted Avon Lake Public Library's huge collection of print and digital materials available for renting, as well as the ability to rent hotspots, video game consoles, Roku devices, e-readers and even telescopes. The library also offers a variety of fun activities for kids, including a weather station.
