Avon Lake Man Arrested For Assault: Police
Police records said the man sent a person to the hospital on Sunday.
AVON LAKE, OH — An Avon Lake man assaulted one of his acquaintances, sending them to the hospital, according to police records. Before the attack, the victim was sitting in a Toyota Prius, which was badly damaged during the incident.
The attack happened Sunday, March 17. Police were called to a home on Crestwood Drive for reports of an assault.
The accused attacker was a 25-year-old Avon Lake man. Investigators arrested the man and then went about finding out what happened.

Witnesses said that prior to police arriving, a 2010 Toyota Prius had been damaged. The victim of the assault had been sitting in the car when the driver side window was smashed and the driver side door was damaged. The door was so broken it could no longer close, according to police.

The victim of the assault had to be taken to St. John Medical Center for treatment, police records show. Their current status is unknown.
The Prius was towed from the scene. Police have not yet responded to Patch's request for additional information on the incident.
The suspect appeared in Avon Lake Municipal Court this week and pleaded not guilty to the charges of assault. He will go to trial in April. 012
