Avon Lake Police Break Up Street Fight

Five juveniles were brawling at the intersection of Carriage Lane and Hermann Drive. That and other incidents in this week's blotter.

AVON LAKE, OH -

Juvenile Complaint, Jan. 12 - A Mulberry Lane resident reported to police that his school-aged daughter did not return home after classes ended. Before officers got to the man's house, the girl came back. The girl is facing charges of Unruly Juvenile in Lorain County Court for disobeying her dad and coming home late.

Theft, Jan. 12 - A Beck Road resident came to the police station and reported that her credit card and a small amount of cash had been stolen. Five charges had been made with her credit card.

Identity Theft, Jan. 12 - Someone stole a Margie Lane resident's identity. The person opened up a loan in the man's name without his consent.

Menacing, Jan. 13 - A Parkway Lane woman's out-of-state brother called and left her a threatening voicemail. The brother said that he wanted to harm his sister and their parents.

Disturbance, Jan. 13 - A man punched a hole through a woman's door and was then told to spend the night someplace else by police. His female companion did not wish to press charges.

Fraud, Jan. 14 - Four unauthorized charges were made on a Leeward Drive woman's debit card.

Unruly Conduct, Jan. 14 - Callers reported that a juvenile urinated at the skate park, near one of the ramps. Police located the juvenile and cited him.

Disturbance, Jan. 14 - Five juvenile females were fighting in the street, at the intersection of Carriage Lane and Hermann Drive. Callers reported the donnybrook and police were able to break it up and return the juveniles to their parents.

Theft, Jan. 14 - The night clerk of Avon Lake Food Mart, 137 Lear Rd., came to the police station to report that her cell phone had been stolen while she was at work. The store manager is going to duplicate surveillance footage from the night of the theft and turn it over to police.
