Avon Lake School Wins Academic Challenge Competition
Troy Intermediate School will now move to a finals showdown with Wellington High School.

AVON LAKE, OH β The Troy Intermediate School Academic Challenge Team has found great success this year. The team took first place at the Lorain County Middle School Academic Challenge Competition recently.
The team is composed of sixth graders Kylen Elzeer, Nathan Mellinger, CJ Stobe, Allyson Liller, Macario Mendoza, Andrew Rollins and Laura Youssef.
With the team's win at the Lorain County Middle School Academic Challenge Competition, Troy Intermediate advances to the finals. The squad will go head-to-head with Wellington High School on December 9.
