Avon Police Car Involved in Two-Vehicle Crash on SR 83

AVON, OH — An Avon police officer was taken to the hospital as a precaution after being involved in a two-car collision, reported WKYC.

The collision occurred Thursday morning around 2:40 a.m. on State Road 83 between Kinzel Road and Falcon Crest Avenue. Avon police supervisors responded to the scene after patrolman Andy Kehl radioed that he had been involved in accident.

Both Kehl and the occupant in the second vehicle were taken to St. John Medical Center in Westlake as a precaution. No injuries have been reported thus far.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
