Avon RB Douglas Nominated For Major All-Star Game

Avon running back was nominated to play in the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl to be held Jan. 5 in the annual East vs. West match-up at 1 p.m. Last year, the game was held at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Of the 400 nominees, 90 will be selected and invited to the bowl. Those nominees will take part in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Tour in September.

Final player selections, along with All-American Marching Band musicians, will be announced throughout the fall, with the selection tour ending in early December.

Douglas helped lead the Eagles to the last season and earned third team Associated Press honors. Douglas, who scored 15 touchdowns and ran for more than 1,000 yards, has .
