Avon Schools Calendar: 15 Must-Know Dates for Winter 2016-17

AVON, OH - Students in Avon are back in school for just a few more weeks until the extended winter holidays. And parents better pull out the calendar now and start making plans because winter break is just around the corner.

Winter break will start for students on Dec. 22 and run through Jan. 2. That's a lot of time to plan for and Patch will be releasing a steady stream of ideas on how you can spend your holiday time with your kids.

Here are some of the important upcoming dates for parents of Avon students:

• Winter Break: Dec. 22 - Jan. 2
• Teacher Inservice (no school for students): Jan. 13
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Jan. 16
• Report Cards Mailed: Jan. 23

The Avon High School Winter Orchestra Concert will be held Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. The school's Winter Band Concert will be held two days earlier on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.
