Stellar performances by both pitchers makes for a nail-biter
Imagine pitching a no-hitter in a sectional playoff game and losing, that's what happened to Clearview's Sarah Kaya on Monday afternoon.

On the other side of the mound, Avon junior Brittanie Fowler, took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before the Clippers Nikki Kent singled to center. Fowler struck out sixteen Clearview batters, giving up just one walk and one hit.

The win brings Avon's record to 12-7. The Eagles advance to a sectional final against the Vermilion Sailors at 4:30p.m. Tuesday in Vermilion.
