Avon's Turkey Dash Being Run Nov. 24
The race, starting at Avon High School and winding through the Highland Subdivision of Avon, features over 1,500 runners and 250 spectators.

AVON, OH - Avon's Turkey Dash, a 5k run and walk, will once again be held Thanksgiving morning at Avon High School.
Funds raised from the annual Turkey Dash go directly to women and their families in Northeast Ohio who are impacted by the financial burden of the high cost of breast cancer treatments. Last year, over $30,000 was raised for the Foundation.
The race, starting at Avon High School and winding through the Highland Subdivision of Avon, features over 1,500 runners and 250 spectators. Racers, their families, and friends enjoy pumpkin pie, hot cocoa and coffee along with fruit and water at the end of the race. Turkey Dash Medals are awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group and the top male and female finishers are recognized.

Turkey Dash medals are awarded to First, Second, and Third place male and female finishers in the following adge divisions: 2-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, ....60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.
