2 Baby Bald Eagles Hatch In Avon Lake: Watch

AVON LAKE, OH — Two baby bald eagles have hatched in a nest near an Avon Lake school. The first eaglet entered the world on Friday and the second emerged on Saturday morning.
The Avon Lake Schools announced the births. The district maintains a live broadcast of the eagle's nest on YouTube. The nest is located near Redwood Elementary.
The first egg appeared March 1, a second egg was laid March 4 and a third egg was laid March 7, according to the Avon Lake Schools.

The district's live video feed of the eagle nest has proven to be popular with residents and bird watchers. The stream is active 24/7 and can be found here.
In 2019, Stars and Stripes added three eggs to their nest between Feb. 28 and March 6. The first eaglet broke out of its shell on April 8.
