Bar Patron Gets Into Fight, Hits Parked Car In Avon Lake

Police said the customer was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She refused to take a breath test, according to police records.

AVON LAKE, OH — A woman got into a fight at an Avon Lake Bar, tried to drive away, and hit a parked car, according to police. The woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Police were sent to 3rd Base Bar and Grill just before midnight on Dec. 21. Callers had said a woman was creating a disturbance at the Moore Road establishment.

When police arrived, they learned the woman had gotten into a fight and then tried to leave the bar. She hit a parked car before she got out of the lot.

The woman was still sitting in her Dodge, the car running, when police went to talk to her. She was put through field sobriety tests and then arrested. She was deemed too intoxicated to drive, police said.

She was taken to Avon Lake Police Department and refused to take an alcohol-breath test.

The woman is being charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, and OVI refusal. She was released to a sober party at the police station, according to records.

Avon Lake Municipal Court has set the woman's case for pre-trial on Jan. 29. The woman was ordered not to consume any alcohol, according to records.
