Bicycling Maps To Be Updated In Lorain, Medina Counties
The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency wants public input on how the maps should be adjusted.

AVON, OH — Bicycling maps for Lorain and Medina counties are set to be updated by the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA). The agency wants public input on how the maps should altered moving forward.
The maps being updated contain a network in each county of bicycle lanes, trails and connectors. The maps are designed to help cyclists choose the best routes for their abilities.
"As a service to our communities, we prepare bike maps for all five counties in our region,” said NOACA Executive Director Grace Gallucci. “They are a wealth of information for cyclists of every ability and help users to understand the network from a high level view – including routes which are appropriate for varying levels of skill. That’s why we need input from people of all ages and experience levels.”

Open house-style meetings will be held at Elyria High School and the Wadsworth Public Library. The Wadsworth meeting will be held Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Elyria meeting will be held Feb. 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The meetings won't be incredibly formal, so attendees can come and go as needed. NOACA just wants cyclists to share their insight and imagination as it concerns the trails and connectors.

“Local residents know the area best, so we’re looking for their valuable insights,” Gallucci said. “With their input, we can make our bike maps even more useful to all cyclists who ride in Northeast Ohio.”
