Bites Nearby: Mojo's Coffee Shop and More

While looking for a quiet, comfortable shop to enjoy a hot cup of joe, a friend and I discovered Mojo’s Coffee and More at 600 Dover Center Rd. in Bay Village, and it truly hit the spot.  

With a full menu of food and a good variety of coffee drinks, Mojo's offers more than many area coffee shops. The food offerings include a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups along with breakfast choices like quiche, breakfast sandwiches and pastries.

I went with the bacon and swiss quiche special, which was pretty good since it had been made fresh that morning. It was served with grapes, tomatoes and cucumbers. I enjoyed one of the fall drink specials – a pumpkin chill – which was delicious.

My friend indulged and ordered a turtle mocha that she raved about, telling me it was one of the best coffees she’d ever had. The coffee was smooth and rich while the caramel and chocolate added a sweetness she appreciated.

The best part of Mojo's was the environment. There were lots of tables, a nice couch and a fireplace that, when all woven together, made for a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. It's the kind of place you could spend all day reading and working using the free wifi.

The coffee shop also has a book exchange, and encourages patrons to borrow books from their library by leaving one behind.

I’ll be back at Mojo’s next time I need a place to get away to read while enjoying a good cup of coffee. Mojo's is open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sundays between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
