Boil Alert Lifted In Avon, Water Now Safe To Use
Some residents on Detroit Road were boiling their water to eliminate any possible dangerous organisms.

AVON, OH — The boil alert that was in place for some residents on Detroit Road has been lifted. A water line broke on Detroit Road on Wednesday morning, which may have temporarily exposed the water to some dangerous organisms. The water is now safe to drink.
There was no evidence that dangerous organisms actually entered the water stream, the city said. The boiling alert was a precautionary measure.
