Will security cameras and buttons replace a gun ? Bad guys are out there with guns. The list of innocent people harmed is too lengthy to begin. The scene is always the same; a school, mall, town, somewhere where good people are going about their day. Something must be done to stop these bad guys.
Lucky for society, we have police. Police are trained with guns to stop the bad guys. We must never stand in their way, nor against them. If there is just one law, it should be the ratio of more police officers to residents. It is amazing in cities like Cleveland, Chicago, and Detroit that police are willing to fight crime with less of them and definitely more of the bad guys. It is disappointing, too, that often police are looked at as the bad guys with less support from citizens and the media.

However, police cannot be everywhere in just that moment. What is one to do when there’s a bad guy on the scene? Press a button? Call a cop? Tell the criminal to hold on “just a minute?”
Security is important for the safety of all. Police are qualified to protect as soon as they are able to get to the scene. Before the many school murders, schools had security to “buzz in” non school outsiders, including parents. Now, schools, banks and business have security guards without guns, buttons to call police, and security cameras to watch the criminal come on the scene. It’s nice to know the criminal will be identified. Yet, who’s going to shoot him down as he pulls his gun?

“No gun” signage is on most schools, malls, banks. Criminals do not seem to read as guns continue to be part of crime. Police know and carry guns. Somehow America needs to know and carry a gun.
