Revved Up for Cleveland Auto Show

The 2012 Cleveland Auto Show info, sneak peak, and more!

Every year the Cleveland Auto Show is presented at the I-X Center. This is a great way to see all of the newest car models, all in one place.

No need to freeze looking in the windows and trudging through snow on a vast car lot, the heated I-X center is one big car dealership, indoors, with every make and model. Another great advantage is there are sales professionals at every automaker’s exhibit to help answer any questions you may have.

The only difference is you can’t drive the cars…but wait, you can. Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler have test drives in the building. Jeep’s is the most exciting as they take their vehicles through a multi-part obstacle course to showcase Jeep’s off-road capabilities. A lot of fun! This is a great family event!

I will bring you more on the newest models once the auto show actually opens in late February, but for a sneak preview, one of the most anticipated vehicles is the 2013 Ford Fusion.

The past Fusion models are extremely recognizable with the Ford 3-chrome grille, sporty stance, edgy design. Motor Trend’s Car of the Tear several years in a row, and a best-seller for Ford, it was a great car.

Ford has upped its game for 2013, with a complete redesign of their sporty sedan. They are offering three different engines: their signature Eco-Boost, a hybrid model, and -- brand new -- a hybrid-electric model that is suspected to get upwards of 100 miles per gallon. The design is extremely new. The front-end looks a lot like an Aston Martin, some reviewers claim. And the inside is pure luxury. Although I’ve only seen photos, I will report back once I see it in person on the auto show floor.

The Cleveland Auto Show runs from February 25 through March 4. Monday through Saturday, their hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. And on Sundays they are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

They have some great days and events there as well. Monday, February 27, is family day! Wednesday, February 29, is NASCAR day; the NASCAR stars are still to be announced. Check out clevelandautoshow.com for more details as the show gets closer.

I will be attending the auto show, of course (can't wait!), so email me vehicles you want reviewed, compared, or photos of! Also, email me of any car topics you’d like to see discussed here.
